Senior Aviation Financial Analyst - Enterprise, AL

At LEED, we're dedicated to both excellence and innovation in our field. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. This individual will play a crucial role in evaluating the financial performance of various aviation projects and ensuring their alignment with our customer’s financial objectives.

Responsibilities: (Not all-encompassing)

  • Conduct thorough variance and performance analysis of financial data and key performance indicators (KPIs), presenting findings effectively to project management.

  • Assist in the monthly closing process, focusing on revenue recognition on projects and generating necessary revenue adjustments.

  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers to enhance their understanding of financial performance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Analyze purchase requisitions in the ERP system for proper coding and cost collection.

  • Act as the primary financial contact for Project Managers, advising on all direct project-related financial tasks.

  • Analyze direct project costs/revenue data, monitor budgets and progress, and communicate with Project Managers to ensure financial goals are met.

  • Prepare detailed project-based forecasts, including Estimate at Complete (EAC) and Estimate to Complete (ETC) analyses.

  • Oversee timely invoice processing, working with billing specialists to review and approve customer invoices, follow up on collections, and analyze unbilled WIP.

  • Monitor subcontractor invoices to ensure budget compliance.

  • Generate and submit monthly project progress reports.

  • Maintain transparent communication with senior management regarding financial results, highlighting identified risks and opportunities.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant government regulations.

  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Requireds Skills/Abilities:

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 5 years in government contracting, familiar with DCMA and DCAA policies, including financial audits.

  • Proficiency in Component Control/Quantum and Pentagon ERP systems.

  • A solid understanding of financial analysis/program control principles, GAAP, and CAS.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and quality assessment skills.

  • Ability to clearly and accurately explain complex financial issues to technical and non-technical audiences.Review and analyze existing technical documentation e.g. vendor manuals, Standardization directives, and Airworthiness Releases for implementation into technical publications

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
